AS “LEADER OF THE PACK” – PetSmart Charities has donated a generous grant of $10,415.00 to the Feral Cat Caretakers’ Coalition for their 8th workshop. This SPECIAL GRANT will provide each graduate with our 250 page Feral Cat Caretaking Workbook, Certificate of Graduation, ID Card, a brand new 36” trap with divider for trapping and boarding – PLUS a boarding cage for cats and kittens!

LET’S JOIN TOGETHER– For this GREAT OPPORTUNITY to experience a motivating and exciting six-week workshop where we can make a difference in the lives feral cats and kittens and their caretakers.

OUR “FERAL CAT CARETAKING WORKSHOP” iis the only one of it’s kind in the U.S. It is endorsed by Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, Best Friends Catnippers, FixNation, SPCALA, Actors and Others for Animals and Neighborhood Cats of NY.

WE TEACH YOU SUCCESSFUL FERAL CAT STRATEGIES – how to humanely trap cats and kittens, provide pre and post-operative care, food & shelter and implement long-term managed care. The workshop is open to everyone with or without experience! Issues such as agreements, feline health, implementing long-term care following return, post-surgical boarding, correct adoption guidelines as well as responsible feral cat caretaking, safe feeding and dozens of other topics are covered in detail.

WHERE AND WHEN?
The new WEST LOS ANGELES ANIMAL SHELTER-Conference Room, located at 11361 Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90064. Thursday evenings.
CLASSES BEGIN at 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM - JUNE 4 to JULY 9, 2009
SIGN IN AT 6:30 PM SHARP!

Due to student demand, we will be holding THREE extension classes following the six-week graduation, with one additional Kitten Class and two Shelter Building Classes.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION WILL BE AFTER THE LAST CLASS ON JULY 9TH CERTIFICATES AND GIFTS WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH GRADUATE!

THIS “FERAL CAT CARETAKING WORKSHOP” IS FOR YOU – If you have ever been touched by the plight of a homeless cat or kitten and wondered what you could do to help - OR you are providing food with no humane population control and would like to learn how! You may have encountered or heard of a problem about cats and kittens in your neighborhood, workplace or public location that are reproducing and in jeopardy – OR found a Mother cat with kittens in your backyard, alley or workplace - OR noticed malnourished cats and kittens in the neighborhood, near restaurants, dumpsters or storm drains. Heard the mating of males and females in heat. Found an injured cat or kitten in need of immediate care - OR OVERHEARD neighbors talking about “getting rid of the cats and kittens.”
